A Prayer
O God, the Father of all,
we commend to your ceaseless compassion
all those whose lives are overshadowed by violence and cruelty.
Awaken in us your living charity
that we may not rest while children cry from the fear of abuse
and go uncomforted for lack of love.
We ask this in Jesus’ name.
